Internet Radio and iTunes
There are times when your 4,000 track iTunes stash isn't enough. If you're like me, your collection tends to revolve around set genres and closely related artists. That's perfect for the majority of your listening experience. After all, these are your favorite bands and songs.
But when you're at your desk, feverishly working on a project, you may need a little variety. Maybe you're looking for a new artist, or just crave a break in the monotony of your favorite punk tunes. This is where iTunes steps in. Simply click the "Radio" link in the Source pane and take your pick of some of the internet's best stations.
My personal favorites are all located in the Alt/Modern Rock directory:
Virgin Radio UK
I'm a sucker for the accent, and the 128 kbps stream sounds fantastic.
KEXP Live
A ton of great independent music comes from KEXP, based out of Seattle.
WOXY
Cincinnati's best radio station is changing hands and possibly formats in a few months; but the staff has pledged to keep the spirit alive online.
